Dig It! Launch, taster sessions and after school/holiday club.

Dig It! is a new programme of activities for children with ASD using gardening and nature conservation in conjunction with Signal.
There are two drop in taster sessions to launch the project, so that families can visit the Wilderness and try out some activities.
These will take place on Saturday 17th June
2-4pm for 5-11 year olds (last entry 3pm)
4-6pm for 11-17 year olds (last entry 5pm)
Everyone is welcome to come along to the taster sessions even if they don’t want to come to the sessions. Just email Maria and let her know which session you are coming to wcw@rgtb.org.uk or sign up via the Whats On page.

We will then run 6 after school/ holiday sessions for 5-11 year olds and 6 for 11-17 year olds.
These will be as follows:
5-11 year olds – Wednesday 4.30-5.45pm on the following dates
28 June, 5, 12 July, 2, 9, 16 Aug
11-17 year olds – Thursday 4.30-6pm on the following dates
29 June, 6, 13 July 3, 10, 17 Aug

We ask that you are able to commit to at least x4 sessions to book a space.

We will evaluate the project using individual learning goals for each child which will be set with the participants and parents/carers. After the pilot we would then look to develop the project based on the key learning’s and offer further and ongoing sessions.
The taster session is free but there will be a small charge of £2 per session payable in advance to Signal – a total of £12 to enroll.
