CREATE, CONVERSE, CONNECT
– join the new community shed in Catford

Over 50? Stay active, put practical skills to good use and meet new friends

What is a shed?

  • A larger version of a garden shed but it’s actually a covered workshop with tools in a beautiful greenspace, with an experienced facilitator – Steve
  • Somewhere to feel at home, have a laugh, socialise, pursue practical interests and stay active
  • A group of people, both men and women working on projects at their own pace and in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment
  • A place to learn new woodworking and green woodworking skills and pass on skills between each other
  • Contribute to a local charity by reusing, repurposing or recycling wood and trees from the woodland on site.
  • A place just to come and sit for a while, have a chat over a cup of tea surrounded by nature
  • The products, designed and created by the shed members, will help support the Wild Cat Wilderness charity project or will be sold to reinvest in the Sheds project.

WHO CAN JOIN? Anyone aged 50 years and over and membership is free.

The Catford Shed is NOT…

  • It’s NOT a formal training programme but you may gain new knowledge and skills.
  • It’s NOT a health programme but your health and wellbeing may improve

Whether you want to share skills, learn, or just chat over tea, you’re welcome. Opening hours every Tuesday 10-1

To come along for a visit initially email the Wild Cat Wilderness wcw@rgtb.org.uk

Or sign up to be a member by completing this form – Wild Cat Wilderness Sheds Project – Fill out form

Note: We are sorry but we aren’t wheelchair accessible and as there is a walk to the workshop along uneven paths then participants need to be fairly mobile. Arrange a visit if you like by emailing wcw@rgtb.org.uk

If you are planning to come along let us know in advance if possible so we can plan refreshments, etc.
