The new fence and gate is up at the woodland end of our site near the Bellingham Playpark. We can now work with local volunteers to restore and manage the woodland so that it’s an accessible community space. We will also be piloting our new green prescriptions project ‘woodland for wellbeing’ to help with mental health recovery. The new area will also be available to local schools and can be used for forest school sessions. We are also hoping to run green woodworking sessions. We have already uncovered a small area with native bluebells. There is a lot of work to do so we will be launching some weekend volunteer sessions so the local community can help out. Watch this space or contact Maria if you are interested in getting involved wcw@rgtb.org.uk
