Join us on the first Saturday of the month for our family forest school sessions where you can learn about nature and have fun outdoors with your children in our wonderful community green space.
The sessions run from 10-12am with no entry after 11am. Run by Emily and Ellie in February you will discover the different birds on site, make bird feeders and n March find out what the foxes and squirrels do whilst keeping warm around the campfire. All ages welcome. Bookings now open on the What’s On page. Sessions take place during term time but look out for our school holidays events. For the February half term we have a Gruffalo winter nature hunt.
As a charity we welcome everyone to our wild, but safe community space (sorry no dogs aside assistance animals). All activities are free but some have a small fee to cover costs but donations towards our charity really welcome and there will be a cash collection tin on the day or scan the QR code whilst there to donate online.
All children should be accompanied by an adult with up to x5 children per adult. Bring a phone to ring for entry and your own snacks/drinks. Make sure you dress for the outdoors as sessions will take place even if it rains (we generally only cancel if high winds or storms). Check the last entry time, as latecomers won’t be admitted sorry. Places are limited and please only book if you can attend and let us know if you book and then can’t come by emailing wcw@rgtb.org.uk if you don’t turn up and don’t let us know this will affect future bookings. Entry from 15mins before start time unless otherwise stated.
