Winter wild – garden arts and crafts half term event

We know that at this time of year the weather can often mean we can’t run outdoor volunteer sessions at the Wild Cat Wilderness, plus not everyone can get out when its cold and wet.

So you can get involved in our indoor volunteer sessions. Held at Place Ladywell, the offices of the Rushey Green Time Bank (at the back, next door to the Good Hope cafe), we will be making things for the Wild Cat Wilderness – plus you will might learn something new and also be able to take something home.

Running from 11.15-2.30pm drop in anytime (no later than 1.30pm) these sessions are open to all ages but places are limited – be sure to book in advance (but do let us know if you can’t then come)

Every week will be something different, all materials provided and no experience necessary.

This week come and get messy and learn how to make seed bombs.  Seed bombs are little nuggets of clay and seed ready to plant whether you want beautiful wild flowers. Seed bombing is an ancient Japanese practice called Tsuchi Dango, meaning ‘Earth Dumpling’ which was rediscovered in 1960s New York where they used to throw seed bombs over into disused land to brighten up the city…

If you are planning to come along let us know in advance if possible so we can plan refreshments, etc.

Bookings are closed for this event.
