Easter outdoor fun – postponed until Thurs 5/4 12-3pm

We certainly aren’t fair weather folk at the Wilderness but because of the amount of rain today and poor forecast for tomorrow we are postponing our planned activities until Thursday 5/4 12-3pm. So if you can join us please rebook.
Hopefully less soggy eggs on Thursday!

Fun in Nature and Volunteering Sat 24th March

Making seed bombs and sowing broad beans 10.30-1pm Sat 24th March – all welcome

Learn about nature and enjoy the outdoors. This week we will be sowing broad beans and making wild flower seed bombs.

You can also volunteer and help clear paths, plan the food growing space and this week we need help loading up the skip. There is something for everyone to get involved.

This week – veg scrap growing, sowing chillies and making bug spray

Dont forget you can volunteer every Thursday 12-3pm – this week we are planting our espalier and fan fruit trees and clearing a space for a polytunnel.

Our indoor Winter Wild sessions continue every Friday 11.15-2.30 until the end of March at Place Ladywell and this week 23rd Feb we will be growing for veg scraps (last entry 1.30)

On Saturday 24th Feb 10.30-1pm we have a Fun in Nature session plus volunteering and will be sowing chillies and making a natural bug spray (last entry 12.30pm)

Wassail – celebrate our fruit trees Sat 3rd Feb

Saturday 3rd Feb 2.30-6pm – celebrate our fruit trees with cider, apple juice and campfire food.

In conjunction with the Orchard Project.

Join us in the ancient custom of visiting orchards and singing to the trees to promote a good harvest. We will be making instruments, learning how to play a ukulele, having a procession and drinking mulled cider and apple juice plus eating campfire food. Please bring any instruments and a torch.

Ukulele lession 3.30pm
The wassail procession 4.15pm followed by food and drink.

All welcome and any age.

25th – Thursday 12-3pm volunteering and this week we will be planting some apple tress and getting the site ready for our polytunnel and preparing for our wassail on Sat 3rd Feb.

25th Thursday 5.30-8.30pm The Wild Cat Wilderness is a Rushey Green Time Bank project and we have our AGM at Place Ladywell. Celebrate what our wonderful volunteers have achieved across Lewisham. All welcome including food.

26th Friday 11.15-2.30 Winter wild indoor garden arts and crafts at Place Ladywell we will be painting terracotta pots ready for sale.

28th Sunday 10.30-12.30 Learn about birds and the take part in the RSPB Big garden bird watch at the Wilderness.
