Coronavirus update

Regrettably we have taken the decision to cancel/postpone any of our public events from this time onwards. Sadly includes this Saturday’s Seed Swap and all our Easter activities. We are part of the Rushey Green Time Bank who have also taken the decision to pause all regular group meetings, planned activities and events until further notice.

However there is some good news. Local schools and nurseries will be able to continue to use the Wilderness whilst they remain open. We are also continuing our regular weekly volunteering sessions on a Thursday and Friday but with new measures in place so that our staff and participants stay safe. Will continue to follow government advice during this time and things might change so we will keep you updated.

The benefits of nature and get growing
We know that being in nature has a real positive effect on our health and wellbeing. Being outdoors and exercising is going to be even more important over these coming months. So where safe and possible take some time to enjoy nature in your garden or in a local green space. In the coming weeks we hope to provide you with a regular newsletter with ideas, activities and links to things that you can do outdoors. It’s also a great time to start growing your own food whether that be in a garden, pot or window box so we will be sharing tips to get you started.
