NEW DATE – The Big Lunch Picnic and Bake Off

The Big Lunch Picnic and Festival – NEW DATE

Sunday 24th July 12-4pm

We are pleased to announce that we are now running this fabulous event in July having postponed the original one due to bad weather. So defrost those sausage rolls and come along to celebrate at your wonderful local wilderness.

Just bring some picnic food to share – salads, snacks, tarts, pies, cakes, puddings etc.

If you want to BBQ food there will be a separate area available for this but you will need to cook it yourself.

Why not enter our bake off – one for adults and one for younger people just bake a cake or sweet item. Just email us if you want to enter wcw@rgtb.org – Do Mary proud.

Bring a picnic rug and a plastic bag so you can take any rubbish home. Working dogs only

Poetry, storytelling, music, games and activities for all ages. Lunch from 12.30 onwards – stay as long as you like. All welcome. Book online via the whats on page and specify how many tickets you want.

Lets hope for good weather!

Foraging and wild food – free workshop

We also have a volunteer day so come along and help out as well.

Volunteering at the Wilderness

Volunteer afternoon. Help out in the new community food growing garden, including water pipe laying. Drop in anytime. All welcome and no experience necessary. Please book in advance

Do you have any herbs you can bring along to plant at the wilderness. Help create our new herb garden. Suitable for all ages 4+

Learn how to make a pallet garden. Suitable for ages 14+

Book now as places limited

Open day 12-4pm

Come along to the wilderness and enjoy the space or do some volunteering – wild flower sowing, plant a tree, veg seed sowing or make some seed bombs. All welcome. Book in advance please.
