Winter wild – garden arts and crafts every Friday

We know that at this time of year the weather can often mean we can’t run outdoor volunteer sessions at the Wild Cat Wilderness, plus not everyone can get out when its cold and wet.

So you can get involved in our ndoor volunteer sessions. Held at Place Ladywell, the offices of the Rushey Green Time Bank (at the back, next door to the Good Hope cafe), we will be making things for the Wild Cat Wilderness – plus you will might learn something new and also be able to take something home.

Running from 12.15-3.30pm drop in anytime (no later than 2.30pm) these sessions are open to all ages but places are limited – be sure to book in advance (but do let us know if you can’t then come)

Every week will be something different, all materials provided and no experience necessary. This week learn how to make beautiful and unique home made paper using old recycled envelopes etc and plants. This is a great way to reuse the mountain of paper we are all guilty of creating and think about every day items and where they have originated from. Paper production is often from huge plantations of one type of tree creating poor homes for wildlife or even destroying valuable wildlife sites, such as heath or bog land.

If you are planning to come along let us know in advance if possible so we can plan refreshments, etc.

Bookings are closed for this event.
